At Insight Counseling & Wellness, our competent, compassionate, and knowledgeable practitioners provide a relaxing and inclusive environment to effectively help you work toward your goals and healthy outcomes.

Meet The Founder

Founder Gina Formichelli has spent decades providing Mental Health Counseling and Marriage and Family Therapy to individuals, children, and families in the community. Her specialties include crisis intervention, women and youth, and community health. She lives with her three amazing sons Nolan, Giovanni, and Julian, and their dog Charlie. She loves to volunteer at her charities of choice, connecting and supporting youth that have experienced parent loss, and on the board of directors and coach at her local youth cheerleading and football program. Gina finds her peace on the ocean, and with family and friends she calls family.

Gina has decades of clinical and executive leadership experience working in both for-profit and non-profit clinical settings throughout Greater Boston. Time and again, she witnessed one major barrier to excellent mental health care - therapist turnover. Gina explains; “When your best therapists are experiencing burnout due to unrealistic productivity expectations, lack of support, and unfair compensation, they will leave their jobs suddenly and disillusioned. This leads to clients that were counting on them to feel abandoned and mistrustful of the clinical process. I always knew there was a better way.”

Gina created Insight Counseling & Wellness in 2015 with a deeply rooted philosophy that our staff should have the tools and support they need to provide the best possible care for our clients. Each clinician is vetted carefully and works flexible hours to maintain a healthy work/life balance while also meeting the needs of their clients’ schedules and challenges. All staff are W2 employees, are eligible for benefits, and make their own flexible schedules.

At ICW our therapists do what they do best - help people, and we take care of the rest. This is why our staff are so good at what they do. They are motivated, optimistic, and at the top of their game to provide the best individualized care for each of their clients. We are proud to offer a diverse, talented, and incredibly knowledgeable staff who are here to help you walk through the many challenges our community faces today.
